Pitch, Context & Trivia

A dark technology powered by a mysterious energy is corumpting human-beings soul, as Inari, last kami alive, your mission is to climb the tower where the mysterious energy source is kept. Pass multiple enigmatic rooms, use your duplication powers to establish a delayed solo cooperation gameplay, and discover the majesty of this evil tower.
Inari was our second long time and Unity project, we tried to develop a game more accessible than Radial, with a slow pace, an easier difficulty level and way more soft difficulty curve.
Inari was prensent on the 2019 Paris Games Week too!

What did I do?

As a Programmer

As a Game & Level Designer

  • establishing Game Concepts ideas, presented to the rest of the team, then discussions about it
  • force of proposal all along production (without idea monopole despotism of course)
  • writing a Game Design Document (in english) covering : Gameplay, Game Loop, Level Design, Story & Lore
  • writing a short Level Building Charter Document
  • full level design : schemas, blockout, test, graph integration
  • tutorial design
  • difficulty curve balancing
  • working on UI and control mapping on both controller and mouse/keyboard
  • presentation doc design with an artist
  • milestones public presentations, speeches and gameplay live commentary (in english and french), in front of teacher, dozens of students and professional jury
